The ADC/Footlights pantomime takes place every year for the last two weeks of the Michaelmas Term.  Previous pantomimes have included everything from Aladdin to Spartacus, and The Sleeping Beauty to Great Expectations.

Audition to be in the pantomime

Auditions are normally held in the ADC Theatre for all of the weekend of Fresher's Week. Details are on the Footlights and ADC mailing lists. There'll be a bit of singing, and a bit of acting, but whatever there is, it'll be a lot of fun. Have a go. Everyone is welcome to audition, and absolutely no experience is necessary.

Apply to write, direct or produce the pantomime

Emails are sent round from Footlights and the ADC during the Summer Term. We ask you to submit a detailed application, listing your previous comedy experience, and a couple of pages explaining the concept, the characters, the plot, the songs, the style, the whatever.  And then people from the ADC and Footlights committees interview everyone.  It's quite exciting.
